Mersey Tigers have added the first fresh face to their roster with the signing of American Rashad Callaway.
Callaway, 22, averaged 17.5 points per game in his senior year at the University of Tampa, and led the team in points, assists, streals, three-point field goals and free throws.
The guard becomes the first new signing made by new Tigers coach Tony Walsh, who has succeeded Tony Garbelotto in the hot seat.
Garbelotto left the club at the end of his contract in May, a year after he led them to a treble of BBL trophies.
Walsh has previously coached at local side Sefton Suns and Liverpool basketball club.
Tigers captain David Aliu is the only player still under contract from last season.
