Mersey Tigers have signed American forward Marlin Capers, to boost their roster ahead of their clash with Worcester at the weekend.
Capers, 34, spent last season with Worthing Thunder and has previously played in the BBL for London and Guildford Heat.
Tigers coach Tony Garbelotto has been actively looking to strengthen his roster, after the club entered the season with just a handful of contracted players.
Capers scored 345 points in 32 appearances for the Thunder last season, averaging just under 11 points a game for the team that finished second from bottom in the BBL.
The New Yorker also featured in the BBL All-star game in 2011.
